Drawing on the styles and techniques of some very well known artists you will be guided through this session to create and original in the style of the Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis We will look at examples of the artist's work to gain an understanding of the characteristics and traits of their work and how we might carry that forward and use similar methods in our own work What do I need? We try to keep the requirements very simple to ensure the sessions are as accessible as possible Acrylic: Acrylic Paint - Primary Colours plus black and white (we will guide for colour mixing) Brushes - As a basic rule you will just need a range three or four different sized brushes, small, medium and large Brush examples (but not definitive) Flat Brush (1/2 inch or larger), Round Brush (No2 and No4 and No8) Canvas or Canvas Board or Cardboard (prepared with white paint) in terms of size, the choice is yours, but as a guide A4 paper size or bigger ​
