Ivy in Flower (1941) Monday 26th April 7.30pm BST Friday 30th April 10am BST Landscape at Collioure (1905) Saturday 29th May 3pm BST Landscape at Collioure (1905) Dates TBC Matisse, one of the undisputed masters of 20th century art, was a French artist, known for his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter. 26th April 7.30pm BST In this gently guided session we'll try out some of the techniques that the great artists used to define their unique styles. We'll aim to replicate one of their classic works. We may choose a whole painting or a section to complete and you will enjoy an evening creating something similar to a great master! What do I need? We try to keep the requirements very simple to ensure the sessions are as accessible as possible Materials: Paints: Acrylic paints, primary colours plus black and white A small selection brushes is fine Flat brush if available (even a small decorating brush) Or Watercolours - primary colours plus black and white Tablet or tubes Watercolour paper or thicker paper You'll also need a pot of water, a cloth and a smile!
